Gun Lake lays at the foot of Mt Penrose 8616ft/2627m and offers spectacular views in every direction. Crystal clear, blue water stays at a refreshing temperature all year until it freezes in the new year. The Gun Lake Trails can be found at the north end of the lake and go around the Plateau Ponds area. Slim Creek FSR provides access to the Slim Creek snowmobiling zone and Spruce Lake Park.
